Henry William "Bill" Mason

      Bill Mason 74, died suddenly Sept. 7, 2009 at his home in the Wilford area from a sudden heart attach.

Henry William “Bill” Mason was born Oct. 6, 1934 at Egin, Idaho the son of Floyd and Veda Powell Mason. He grew up in the Egin Bench area. He attended his schooling in Fremont Co. graduating from South Fremont High School. He also attended college at Logan, Utah.

Bill married A’Neal Garrett on Oct. 30, 1953 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Billings, MT., St. Anthony, ID.; and Egin until A’Neal's death on July 20, 1986.

He married Trish Thompson on Nov. 14, 1986 at St. Anthony. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Twin Falls, ID.; Egin, ID. and for the past 4 years in Wilford, ID.

Bill was a avid long haul truck driver and enjoyed big trucks and traveling. He also sang and was a member of the Melody Men and Mellodaires for several years. He also took part in several local plays and musicals. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in the Young Mens Program for several years. At the time of his death he was a High Priest in the Wilford LDS Ward.

He is survived by his wife Trish of Wilford, ID.; Children - LaKauna (Mel) Freeman, Burton, ID.; Sharla Mason and JoLynn (Steve) Mitchell both of Pocatello, ID.; Wendy (Steve) Ard, Kevin (Jeanne) Wright, and Cody (Tammy) Wright all of Sugar City, ID.; and Ryan (Angie) Wright, Ashton, ID.; Shane (Penny) Wright, Rexburg, ID.; siblings - Joan (Rial) Palmer, Egin, ID.; Sherrel (Bob) Wright, Spokane, WA.; Gary (Betty Jean) Mason, Idaho Falls, and Lorene (Brent) Greenhalgh, Logan, UT.; 35 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Besides his parents and first wife he was preceded in death by a brother- Reed, 1/2 brother Floyd, Granddaughter Tammy Stelzer, Grandson - Austin Lee Wright and a Great Grandson Dylan Stelzer.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilford LDS Church with Chester Peterson Officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and at the Wilford Church Saturday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery
