   Rex D. Miller, 72, of St. Anthony, passed away on May 22, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. He had fought a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Rex was born June 19, 1936 at his grandparents home in Wilford, ID. to Ronald B. and Elda Dayton Miller. He was the oldest of 5 children and lived his entire life in Parker, Wilford and Twin Groves. He had 3 brothers- Dayton, Larry, Russ and one sister Trena Porter.

He married Helen Williams on Mar. 17, 1957 at Rexburg, ID. They bought 80 acres in Twin Groves and raised 5 kids there, Leanne (Trent) Yancey, Curt (Dana) Miller, Bryan Miller, Greg Miller and Jamie Hymas. He has 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Rex served in the Idaho National Guard in St. Anthony

He loved many activities in the outdoors. He loved to ride horses, pack trips, camping, playing Horseshoes, hunting and fishing. He loved being a cattleman and supervising his boys on the ranch. His favorite places to be were Kilgore, Island Park, and Sand Creek.

Rex was a member of the Upper Valley Cutter Racing Association, and the Riding and Roping Club. He supported his grandkids in 4-H and other activities. He was a member of the LDS Church. Rex was preceded in death by his father and one brother Larry.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the Wilford LDS Church at 11:00 a.m. with Bp. Rod Dalling, officiating. Friends may call at Bidwell Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the Wilford Church Wed. from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 am just prior to the services. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
