   Grover Garrett 93, a lifelong resident of Fremont County, died Jan. 26, 2009 in the Spring Creek Assisted Living Center from incidents to age.

Mr. Garrett was born Feb. 28, 1915 at Ashton, ID. the son of Earl Park Garrett and Ida Green Garrett. He grew up in St. Anthony where he attended his schooling.

He married Rayola Wardle on July 3, 1939 in St. Anthony. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in St. Anthony. Rayola died Sept. 10, 1984

During WWII Grover served in the Army with Company B 30th signal Heavy Construction Battalion in Italy being honorably discharged in 1946. He was a active member of the St. Anthony V.F.W.

Grover owned and operated Garrett Ready Mix until 1974. He also owned and managed Garrett Trailer Park in St. Anthony.

Grover was a active member of the LDS Church serving in a Bishopric and was on the High Council for the Yellowstone LDS Stake. He was also active in scouting and enjoyed the St. Anthony Senior Citizens.

He is survived by a daughter-in-law Teresa Garrett, St. Anthony, a brother Tharen (Marge) Garrett, St. Anthony, ID.; two sisters, Vernona (Rex) Powell, St. Anthony and Mauna Shadoan, Townsend, MT.; 9 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Great Grandson. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by two sons, Brad and Steven, two brothers Clyde and Cleve and one sister A’Neal.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Wilford second LDS Ward Chapel with Bp. Gene Clements officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6 :30 to 7:30 P.M. and at the Wilford Church Thursday one hour prior to the time of services. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery where military rites will be preformed by the St. Anthony V.F.W. & American Legion.
