   Our sweet angel mother, Verna Lee Huff Farley Ward, 87, a longtime resident of Parker passed away October 23, 2010 in the St.Anthony Homestead Assisted Living Center from a lingering illness.

Verna was born August 9, 1923 in Three Forks, Montana to Frank Lee Huff and Verna Grace Andrews. She grew up in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. She was the oldest of 5 children. She had 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

She married George Lawrence Farley on October 31, 1942. They later divorced. She was blessed with 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys.

Verna married Ivan C. Ward on April 26, 1968. They made their home in Parker where they resided until August 2009. Due to health problems they became residents of the assisted living center.

Verna worked 33 years until she retired in 1988. She was employed by Remington's warehouse, Roger Brothers, and Sunspice.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings and was a faithful visiting teacher.

She had many hobbies- cooking, sewing, crocheting, quilting, gardening, fishing, and photography. She had a passion for reading books about traveling, history, outdoors, and true stories.

Our Mother was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Ivan C. Ward; her children, Gary (Sylvia) Farley and Ula Harris of St.Anthony; Georgia (Gene) Simpson of Twin Falls; and Deb Terrell of St.George, Utah; a sister Evelyn Tanner of Ogden, Utah; a step-brother, Bob (Emmaline) Andrews of Stevensville, Washington; and a brother-in-law, Bennie Fayle of Hamilton, Montana; 18 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Lawrence (Champ) Farley, a grandson, Wade Farley, a sister, Wanda Fayle, a half-brother, Jim Huff, and a brother-in-law Richard Tanner.

Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home on October 30, 2010 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Memorial services will be conducted October 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m at the Bidwell Funeral Home with Bishop Jed Stoddard officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Homestead Assisted Living Center, especially Verna's granddaughter, Susette Miller, Hospice Alliance, especially Bonnie Myers and Tammy Sanders, her granddaughter, Dr. Bates, Dr. Lofgran, Dr. Dixon, and Dr. Gorman.
