   Bernard “Ben” Frank Delsman 87 a former resident of St. Anthony, died June 25, 2010 in the Monticello Assisted Living Community in Idaho Falls following an illness with cancer.

Ben was born Sept. 18, 1922 at Buhl, ID. the son of Bernard F. and Effie Aller Delsman. Ben grew up in LeGrande, Oregon, Ukiah, Calif. graduated from high school at Spokane Washington. Right after Pearl Harbor he joined the U.S. Navy and served his country.

He married Martha Feuz Macy on Dec. 18, 1955 at Moose Wyoming. Ben worked as a Lineman for several electrical companies moving throughout his career. They lived in Jackson, WY.; Hood River, OR.; Albany, OR.; and after his retirement they moved to St. Anthony where they lived until the last couple of years when they moved to a retirement center in Idaho Falls.

Ben belonged to the Italic Society of Portland and a wood carvers group in Oregon. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, the out of doors and taking road trips. Ben was a member of the Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Martha of Idaho Falls, Children Caroline (James) Neubauer, Ashton, James (Lee) Macy, Jackson , WY.; Mary Anne Macy (Gregg Chance), Traverse City, Michigan. a sister Jean (Gene) Crommett, Portland, OR.; and a brother Jack C. (Marion) Delsman, San Diego, CA. 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bidwell Funeral Home in St. Anthony. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the West End Cemetery near Buhl, Id. where military rites will be performed on Wednesday June 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers please send donations to the Hospice of Eastern Idaho 1810 Moran St. Idaho Falls, ID, 83401 Condolences to the family may be sent to
