Geneva Parker Briggs

   Geneva Parker Briggs 96, died oct. 7, 2010 at her home in Teton from incidents to age.

Geneva was born Dec. 23, 1913 at Teton City, Idaho the daughter of George Jasper Bolin and Martha Jones Bolin. She lived most of her life in Teton where she attended elementary school and two years of High School finally graduating from Sugar High School in l931. In her adult years she lived on the site where the old Teton High School was.

She married Louis Parker on Jan. 30, 1932 at Teton , Idaho. He died in l946. She then married Joseph Briggs on Feb. 14, 1947 at Rigby, Idaho. He died on May 8, 1983.

Geneva was an active member of the LDS Church serving in the primary and young womens organizations. She also served as secretary of the Teton School Board and the City of Teton f. She also worked as a clerk for the Teton Mercantile for many years.

She is survived by her children LaMoyne (Karen) Parker, Teton City, ID.; Darrel (Doreene) Parker, West Valley City, UT. Carolyn (Danny) Quayle, Wilford, ID.; Blair (Marsha) Briggs, Idaho Falls, ID.; 20 grandchildren, 51 Great Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Lena Golsan, Elva Phillips, Joyce Thomas, a great grandson, a Great Great Grandson and a Daughter in Law Beverly Parker.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday Oct. 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Teton LDS Church with Bishop Blair Poulsen, officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and Monday at the Church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
