Jane Hunter

   Jane Belle Bird Hunter 85, died at her Home in St. Anthony, May 20, 2010 following a lingering illness.

Jane was born April 29, 1925 at Throckmorton, Texas the daughter of Eldred Halloway Bird an d Edith Marie Laidlaw Bird. She grew up in New Mexico, Arizona and California where she attended her schooling Graduating from Glendale High School.

She married Horald Harvin Hunter on June 14, 1946 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Camas Meadows, Egin Bench, Parker and in May of l962 moved to St. Anthony where they have since resided.

Jane was a active member of the LDS Church. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, enjoyed quilting, had a beautiful singing voice. She helped with her Family History for many years. She died with her integrity intact. Mr. Hunter died Dec. 30, 2005.

Jane is survived by her children - Phyllis (Marvin) Jones, Rexburg, ID.; Robert (Debbe) Hunter, Sandy, UT.; Alyss Morgan, Parker,ID.; Janis Hunter, St. Anthony, ID.: Hollis (Dan) Henry, Idaho Falls, ID.; Mary Jackson, Rexburg, ID. a Sister Roberta
“Bobbi” Rammell, Rexburg, ID.: Brothers William “Bill” Bird, Logan, UT.; Donald “Don” Bird, Sugar City, ID.: Richard “Dick” Bird, Rexburg, ID.: 24 Grandchildren, 25 plus Great Grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister Edith Marie Pierson, and a brother Eldred Halloway “Jack” Bird.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Anthony Second LDS Ward Chapel with Bp. Brent Thompson, officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery under the direction of the Bidwell Funeral Home. The family suggest contributions be made to the LDS Church Humanitarian Fund.
