Pearl Klingler

   Florence Pearl Bradshaw Klingler 89, a longtime resident of the Plano area died Oct. 15, 2010 in the Homestead Assisted Living Center in Rexburg from incidents to age.

Pearl was born Jan. 28, 1921 in Egin, Idaho , one of six children to Edward and Thursia Amelia Fisher Bradshaw. She grew up on a farm in Egin Bench. She attended Egin Elementary School and graduated as Salutatorian of Edmunds High School.

She married her high school sweetheart Arden Godfrey Klingler for time and all eternity on Jan. 24, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They made their home in the Plano area where Mr. Klingler ran a successful dairy farm along with Pearls help. They were blessed with four daughters. Arden died in Dec. 2006.

Pearl worked as a wife, mother, homemaker, gardner and helped Arden become the successful dairy farmer he was. She and Arden enjoyed traveling, and spent their winters in Yuma, Arizona and summers in Island Park enjoying the friends they met there.

She was a member of the LDS Church and sang in the Plano Ward Choir. She was serving as Relief Society Pres. when the Teton Dam failed and she helped feed thousands at Ricks College during the flood of l976.

Pearl was an excellent seamstress, making all her daughter’s clothes and formals for dances. and wedding dresses. She also loved quilting. Arden and Pearl loved to dance and belonged to a dance club.. She enjoyed making candy at Christmas. She and Arden did a lot of canning together out of their garden . After Arden died she was moved to Ashton Living Center and then to Homestead Assisted Living in Rexburg.

Surviving are 4 daughters Veva(Terry) Schwendiman, Bountiful, UT.; Betty (Lynn) McKinlay, Iona, ID.; Deon (Theron) Staker, Plano, Id.; and Robin Hempel of Sandy, Oregon. 13 Grandchildren 36 Great Grandchildren three brother in laws, Earl, Karl, and Eldon Klingler. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sisters, Alta Hunt, Lois Perrenoud, brothers, Carl, Elwin and Vernal Bradshaw, and two Great Grandchildren, Kimberlee and Lindee Brower.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 1:00 P.M. at the Plano Cemetery with Bishop Randy Brown, officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on the 18th. Family would like to thank the staff of Homestead Assisted Living Center and Bonnie Meyers of Hospice for the loving care they have provided Pearl.
