   Ralph William Leseberg, 91, passed away at his home in St. Anthony, ID.; on July 9, 2010.
Ralph was born May 10, 1919 at Lander, Wyoming the son of Phoebe Lavinia Lamoureux and Edward August Leseberg. He grew up in Lander, Wyoming on the family ranch.
He married Wanda Hill on Dec. 9, 1939 in Idaho Falls, ID.; The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They had five children, JoAnn, Diane, Brent, Tessa and Mel. During their lives together, Ralph and Wanda lived in parts of Idaho, Oregon, Connell, WA. California, Australia and Provo, UT.; They returned to St. Anthony, ID. in 1990 where they have since resided. Wanda died Jan. 12, 2009.
Ralph served with the 42nd Rainbow Division in the European theater during WWII which liberated the concentration camp in Dachau, Germany.
Ralph and Wanda served 3 missions for the LDS Church. A church building mission to California in the 1960’s, a proselytizing mission to Melbourne, Australia in 1988, and with Farm Management at the Wasatch Dixie Farms in Elberta, Utah in 1998. They were able to travel extensively to Europe, South and Central America, South Pacific Islands, Canada, and most of the United States - visiting family history, Temple sites and family members.
Besides his wife Ralph was preceded in death by his mother at age 4yrs. and father at age 14yrs. Siblings, Lyle, Clarence, Edward, Henry and George, Daughters - JoAnn Welch and Diane van Soolen. He is survived by sisters-in-law Marion Leseberg, Boise, ID.; and Betty Jean Hill, St. Anthony, ID.; Sons-in-law Lon (Ruth) Welch, Connell, WA.; and Rudy (Cheri) van Soolen, Amity, OR.; Children Brent (Flor) Leseberg, Layton, UT.; Tessa Leseberg, Plymouth, MN.; and Mel (Laura) Leseberg, Provo, Ut. He is also survived by 19 Grandchildren, 49 Great Grandchildren, numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
The family would like to express profound gratitude to Alliance Hospice for the love, respect, support and great care that was given to Ralph and family.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Anthony Idaho LDS Stake Center (247 East 400 North) with Bishop DelRay Davenport, officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday evening, July 16 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Bidwell Funeral Home in St. Anthony and at the LDS Stake Center Saturday from 12 noon until 12:45 just prior to the services. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery where military rites will be performed by the St. Anthony V.F.W. and American Legion burial team of which Ralph participated.
