   Ruth E. M. S. Adamson 88, a longtime resident of Sugar City, ID. died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 in the Rexburg Care Center following a illness with bone cancer.

Ruth was born July 22, 1922 at Duluth, Minnesota the daughter of John Oscar and Hilma Pauline Varitio Seppo. She grew up back east and graduated from the University of Minnesota with an associate degree in education. She taught all eight grades at Kettle River, MN. During WW2 she moved to Vallejo, CA. where she taught school She then married Wendle “Tuck” Adamson in l947. They moved back to Shelley Idaho in 1948 and In l949 Moved to Sugar City where they bought a Cafe. She taught school in Rexburg for 3 1/2 years then at St. Anthony school for 24 1/2 years where she taught Spanish, French, English and art appreciation. She continued teaching as a substitute teacher until the age of 80. Mr. Adamson passed away in l967. She also was a landlord for a trailer court in Sugar City.

She really enjoyed life and traveled extensively though out the world.

Ruth is survived by her children - Bernice A. Whittle, Clouquet, Minnesota, Amber Adamson, Rexburg, and Tucker Adamson, Idaho Falls, ID. 9 Grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bidwell Funeral Home with Keith Archibald, officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and again Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Shelley Cemetery. Family suggest contributions be made to the South Fremont High School Ruth Adamson Scholarship fund.
