   Terry Kay Greenhalgh, age 65, died peacefully June 6, 2010, while sleeping in his home in Rexburg Idaho due to complications of surgery. He was born September 13, 1944 in Rexburg, Idaho to Alma Wilburn and Ethel Hiatt Greenhalgh.  Following shortly after his birth was a special twin brother named Larry Dee.  Terry grew up in Wilford within a large family of seventeen children.  He attended Wilford Elementary and later graduated from South Fremont High School. In the fall of 1963, he served a mission for the Latter Day Saint Church at the North German Mission.  During his mission, he became extremely proficient at the German language and dearly loved the Deuschte People and their customs.  When he came home from his mission he attended Ricks College majoring in foreign language. On Aug 20, 1966, he married Gloria Anne Grass in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. The marriage lasted 15 years and produced four surviving and loving daughters: Shelleen (Mark) Wienke of Kansas City, Missouri, Shianne (Roger) Kampf of Loveland, Colorado, Jennifer Jo Whitesides of Logan, UT, and JaTina Marie (Stephen) Swanson of Culver City, California.
      In April of 1968, he started working for the Union Pacific Railroad, first on the section gang at Newdale and then as a carpenter for the Bridge Builder’s unit.  During this employment, he developed a great talent in wood working and carpentry.  He lived in Wilford until the 1976 Teton Dam collapsed, consequently moving the family to Rigby.  It is here, he and his high school sweetheart later divorced.   Terry then was married to Martha Wiemer Covington on November 4, 1983 for 12 years and then divorced.  
     Terry also worked for the city of Rexburg and as a bus driver for the Madison school district. He was a craftsman, an avid fisherman, and amazing rock hound.  He had a wonderful gift for music, and could play many instruments, always accompanying them with his perfect tenor voice.  
     Terry had ten grandchildren; Mary Lynn, Kristofer and Jonathan Wienke, Jaxon and Issabella Kampf, Taylor, Erika and Brycen Whitesides, Sierra and Lauren Swanson.  Surviving brothers are: Keith (June) Greenhalgh of Ogden, Utah, LaMar  Greenhalgh of Tremonton, Utah,  Sylvan (Margaret) of Idaho Falls, ID, Emrys Greenhalgh of Riverton, Wyoming, Lloyd (DeAnn) Greenhalgh of Rigby, ID and Dennis (Kathy) Greenhalgh of Wilford, ID.  Surviving sisters are: Norma (Tom) Ball of Nampa, ID, Joyce Chapple of Rigby, ID, Faye (Dean) Davies currently serving a mission in Nauvoo, IL, Barbara (Leo) Rigby of Idaho Falls, ID, and Natella (Lynn) Romrell of Wilford, ID.
     He is preceded in Death by his parents, Alma Wilburn and Ethel Marguerite Hiatt, his twin brother Larry Dee Greenhalgh who died in Vietnam on March 17, 1969, Nile (Shirley) Greenhalgh, Dale Greenhalgh, Brent (Lorene)Greenhalgh, and his sister Dorothy Alice Kent.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 11, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Ward Church on 700 Park Street Rexburg, Idaho.  A viewing will be held the evening before at from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. at the Bidwell Funeral Home 555 E. Yellowstone Hwy. in St. Anthony.
