William "Bill" Edginton


    William "Bill" Stillman Edginton died March 13, 2010 in Rexburg nursing & Rehab. Center in Rexburg, Idaho of age related causes at the age of 81.
He was born September 30, 1928 in Twin Groves, Idaho to William Arthur and Blanche Young Edginton. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers. He was raised in the Twin Groves/Ashton area attending school and graduating from North Fremont High in 1946. He joined the US army and was stationed the Northwest. He received an honorable discharge. He married Dawna Yearsley. They were later divorced.

Bill had a diverse working career. He farmed in the Ashton and Hamer areas, owned a swimming pool in Hamilton, Montana, was a logger, an Auctioneer for the Idaho Falls and Rexburg livestock Yards, and at a multitude of LDS Ward fund raisers. He was also a plantation manager in Western Samoa, a Real Estate Agent in St. Anthony, a miner near Mackay Idaho and drove truck for a construction company.

Bill enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved to grow potatoes and work the land. He enjoyed working as an auctioneer and truly enjoyed ‘working the audience’ and the Ward fundraisers.

He is survived by his four children: Kelly Wilding (Blair) of Springfield OR, Eric (Kelly) or Rigby, Susanne Price (Dave) of Spencer, and Brian of St. Anthony, fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The family will hold visitation at the Bidwell Funeral Home, 555 East Yellowstone Highway St. Anthony, Idaho on Monday March 15, 2010 evening from 7 to 8 pm. A graveside services will be held Tuesday March 16 at 2 pm at the Wilford Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather at the Bidwell Funueral Home between noon and 1 pm prior to the procession to the cemetary. Military rites will be performed at the graveside.
