   Ada Lou Howell 78 passed away at her home in the Archer area following a short illness with cancer.

Ada Lou was born May 22, 1935 at Archer, Idaho the daughter of Henry Lillis Sutton and Rachel Briggs Sutton. She was the youngest of 7 children. She grew up in the Archer area graduating from Madison High School. She then attended Ricks College where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. She worked for District Seven Health Dept. and home health services for many years until she retired in l998 after which she became a truck driver and drove with her husband for 8 years.

She married Reed Howell on Oct. 21, 1955 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived a few different places in the Western United States moving back to Archer where they have lived the last 39 years.

Ada Lou was always active in the LDS Church serving as Ward Organist, Relief Society Pres. and as a temple ordinance worker for the last 6 years. She enjoyed quilting, playing the piano and family.

She is survived by her husband Reed of Archer, ID.; Children - Rock Sutton Howell, North Dakota, Kristine Cole, Lincoln, NE.; Scott David (Christina) Howell, Hyrum, UT.; Jeffery Lee Howell, Archer, ID.; Pamela (Dan) Mavis, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Rebecca (David) Fugal, Roosevelt, UT. 21 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. one brother Stanley Sutton, Archer, ID.; and two sisters Genevieve Heath, Salt Lake City, UT.; Carol Mackay, Hibbard, ID.;

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Archer LDS Church with Bishop Bryan Pope, officiating. Friends may call at the Archer LDS Church Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Archer-Sutton Cemetery under the direction of the Bidwell Funeral Home.
