Darlene Potter Miller

   Darlene Potter Miller 85, passed away Sunday Nov. 10, 2013 at her home in Chester surrounded by her family.

Darlene ws born Oct. 20, 1928 at Chester, Idaho the daughter of Earl Heber and Margaret Curvo Potter. She grew up in Chester where she attended her elementary Schooling graduating from South Fremont High School. She also attended the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City.

She married Ralph Daniel “RD” Miller on Sept. 4, 1947 at her parents home in Chester. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on Feb. 16, 1951. Mr. Miller passed away on May 8, 2010.

Darlene was active in the LDS Church serving as Primary President and enjoyed visiting teaching. She enjoyed chariot races, rodeos, farming and ranching with her husband and family. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children - Linda Miller, Verl(Candy) Miller and Tim (Annette) Miller all of Chester, ID.; and Sharon (Jay Fred) Smith, Rexburg. 21 Grandchildren and 29 Great Grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother Earl J. Potter three sisters Beatrice Williams, Myrtle Davis and Julia Potter one son and two Granddaughters - Barbara Miller and Tara Lynn Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at 12 noon in the Chester LDS Ward in Ashton with Bishop Michael McDonald, officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 and at the Church in Ashton Saturday one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the people from Rexburg Hospice for their wonderful care.
