    Darris J. Bright 73, died peacefully in a Utah hospital surrounded by family on August 30, 2012.
Darris was born April 17, 1939 in Teton City Idaho the son of Charles Artell “Bud” Bright and Edna “Dede” Hollist Bright. He grew up in Teton where he attended school and graduated from South Fremont High school. While at South Fremont High he lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track. He graduated from BYU in 1957 with a B.S. and later earned an MBA from University of Idaho. While at BYU he traveled the United States performing with the Maori dance club.
He served in the Idaho National Guard and on the Teton City Council and in the Bishopric of Teton 2nd Ward. As a profession he worked as a nuclear waste engineer at the Idaho INEL site.
He enjoyed his boys more than life, U.S. history more than most, and coaching club volleyball more than all.
He is survived by three sons – Darrin Bright, Salinas, CA; Kevin (Lisa) Bright, Reading, PA; and Jason Bright, Pingree, ID; his twin brother Dennis (Kay) Bright, Bountiful, UT; 12 grandchildren, and a sister-in-law Donna. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Kim Bright, and his brother Barry Bright.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Teton LDS Church with Bp. Craig Carter, officiating. Friends may call at the Church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Teton Newdale Cemetery where military rites will be performed. Condolences to the family may be sent to
