   Dean Clarence Daw 91, passed away Jan. 31, 2011 in the Rexburg Nursing Home from incidents to age.

Dean was born on the family farm in Wilford where he has lived his entire life on Oct. 31, 1919 the son of Clarence W. and Florence North Daw. Dean grew up in Wilford where he attended his elementary schooling graduating from South Fremont High School.

He married Erla Hathaway on Dec. 24, 1940 at St. Anthony, Id. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They have lived in Wilford their entire married life

During World War two Dean served his country in the U.S. Army, and was honorably discharge in Aug. of l946. Dean was a member of the St. Anthony American Legion post and had served as a past commander in the unit.

Dean was active in the Cub Scouting program and helped start the Cub Scouts in the Wilford Area. He was also active in the Scouting Program and received the Silver Beaver Award. Both of his son are eagle Scouts. Dean was also a member of the Upper Valley Square Dancer and was a member of the St. Anthony Independent Order of the Odd Fellows for many years. He was also active member of the LDS Church. He served on the Fall River Canal co. board for several years. He enjoyed farming his entire life.

She is survived by his wife Erla and two son Ace (Shirley) Daw and Kevin (Karen) Daw, all of the Wilford Area. 8 Grandchildren 17 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parent which were taken in the Teton Dam Disaster and by one sister Rella Daw Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilford LDS Church with Bishop Rod Dalling, Officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Friday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and at the church Saturday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery where military rites will be performed by the St. Anthony American Legion and V.F.W.
