Dennis E. Birch

   Dennis Ervin Birch 63, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 in the Madison Memorial Hospital from natural causes.

Dennis was born Sept. 7, 1951 at St. Anthony, Idaho the son of Gray Adair and Althea Bradshaw Birch. She grew up in the St. Anthony where he attend South Fremont High School later Ricks College and then B.Y.U. where he received his bachelors degree.

He served a LDS Mission to Canada and later served in two LDS Bishoprics.

He married Jerrolyn “Jeri” Hansen from Lymon, ID. on July 9, 1976 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in St. Anthony where Dennis worked for Fremont General Hospital as a laboratory technologist until it closed then they moved to Osmond, Wyoming for 20 years where he worked for the Star Valley Hospital moving back to St. Anthony in 1999 where they have since resided. Dennis has been working for the Madison Memorial Hospital for several years. While in Star Valley Dennis served as the commander of the Search and Rescue, and was active in the Star Valley Civil Air Patrol and was County Emergency Communications office, and was a local radio morning show host. He also served on the Fremont Co. Search & Rescue Was a emergency medical Technician, served on the Ski Patrol and was the Fremont County Coroner for six years.

Dennis is survived by his wife Jerrolyn “Jeri” of St. Anthony, ID.; his father Gray Adair Birch, St. Anthony, ID.; His children Cozette (Shae) Bolander, Marshfield, Wisconsin; Richard Dennis (Tapria) Birch Teton,ID.; Robert Gray (Melanie) Birch Twin Falls, ID.; Chantell (Austin) Muchemore, Benton, Louisiana; His siblings, Jolyn (Steven) Wallace, Fruit Heights, Ut.; Eric Gray Birch, Salt Lake City, UT.; and Warren Adair (Kathleen) Birch, Casper, Wy.; 17 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Althea in March of 2012.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Anthony LDS Stake Center with Bishop Drostan Orme, officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. and at the Stake Center Saturday from 10 - 10:45 just prior to the services. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
