   Doyle Leon Ottesen 82, passed away May 3, 2015 at the Madison Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness.

        Doyle was born Dec. 29, 1932, at Palmyra, Utah the son of Ervin  Ottesen and Jennie Searle Ottesen.    He spent his younger years in Palmyra.  He moved with his family to the Moody area where he grew up raised his family and farmed for many years before moving to Rexburg 4 years ago.  He graduated from Sugar Salem High School and attended 3 years  at Ricks college.   While in high school he played guard on the all  star football team.  He also played guard for RicksCollege.  He was a active member of AA and was set aside by the church to help with addiction recovery and devoted his life to helpin those struggling with addiction.  He loved fishing with his grandchildren and friends and camping where he was known for his dutch oven cooking.

        He married Georgia Buettner and had a son Richard. They were later divorced.  He then married Patsy Singleton and had three children,  Leona, Bobbie and  Leon. They were later divorced.  He then married Winona Hansen and they were later divorced. 

        He is survived by his children Leona (Jeff) Kaiser, Idaho Falls, ID.; Bobbie (Lane) Larsen, Teton City, ID.;   Leon (Wendy) Ottesen, Vernal,UT.;  Siblings - Max (Airle) Ottesen, Overton, NV.; Marla Russell, Teton City, ID.; Sandra (Don) Stevens, Spanish  Fork, UT.;  18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.   Besides his parents he was preceded in death by sisters- LaRae Johnson, Delva Ottesen, Irene Ottesen, Karen Virgin. 
one son Richard Ottesen, Brother-In-Laws Ivan Johnson and Larry Russell, and a Son-In- Law, Mike Arnold.

        Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 7, 2015 in the Teton First Ward with Bishop Ryan Lerwill, officiating.  Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and at the Teton Church Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 just prior to services.   Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
