Thelma Eileen Batton

   Thelma Eileen Batton 75, passed away suddenly Jan. 17, 2015 from an apparent blood clot.

Eileen was born Jan. 16, 1940 in Madison county, Idaho the daughter of Lyle Reid and Sylvia Morgan Reid. She grew up in the Lyman area where she attended the Lyman elementary school and graduated from Madison High School. She also attended Ricks College where she received her associate arts degree.

She married Roy Batton on Aug. 2, 1968 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in the Twin Groves area near St. Anthony where they have since resided.

She was a active member of the LDS Church service as a visiting teacher in the Relief Society, was a den leader, worked in the family history as a extractor and doing genealogy work. She was a beloved wife, Grand Mother and friend. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.

She is survived by her Husband Roy, St. Anthony, Children- Roger Lee (Kelly Egan) Batton, Newdale, ID.; April Lynn Riley, and Ray Charles (Patricia Sue Neil) Batton, and Randy James (Holly Robinson) Batton all of St. Anthony, ID.; Craig Lyle (Andrea Jensen) Batton, Rexburg, ID. and Annette Batton, Pocatello Two brothers Grant Reid, Lyman, ID.; and Doyle Reid in Washington. One sister Lorna Zehnter, Blackfoot, ID.; 17 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 at 11:00 a. M. in the St. Anthony LDS Stake Center with Bishop Wade Geisler of the Twin Groves 1st ward officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Friday evening from 6 to 7:30 P.M. and at the church Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 just prior to the services. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
