Faye S. Wardlw

  Faye S. Wardle 88, passed away Jan. 11, 2011 at her home on Egin Bench, Idaho.

Faye was born Dec. 15, 1922 at the family farm on North Crowley Road in Bonneville Co. ID the daughter of John Lawrence and Deon Elizabeth Smith Seedall.
She was raised on the farm where she learned to work with her hands and horse teams. She attended first grade in Ammon and grades 2 through 7 at Crowley. She went to the 8th grade at Ucon and graduated from Ucon High School. She also graduated from Ricks College and BYU Provo where she received her teaching degree.
She started teaching at Central School in St. Anthony, then Teton and South Fremont Junior High for a total of 35 years, a time she found rewarding and fulfilling. No one remembers hearing a negative comment or complaint about her students or teaching experience.

She married Blaine V. Wardle on June 28, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple. They purchased a farm from Blaine’s father in the Egin Area where they built their home where they continued to live. She was a devoted wife and attended to her husband’s every need during a long standing health condition. They had one adopted daughter Barbara. Mr. Wardle died April 27, 2007, and Barbara died Nov. 14, 2008.

Faye was very active in the LDS Church serving as Stake Mutual Pres. and was the Egin Bench LDS Ward Organist for many years, and played at numerous funeral and other events. She also served in the community as a charter member of the Business and Professional Womens, Melodaires, Pres.. of the Fremont Teachers Association and was named Teacher of the year. She also helped lead the drives for the American Cancer, March of Dimes pennies by the inch. For may years she was chairman of the 24th of July Parade. The banners she made are still being used.

She enjoyed Sewing, handwork projects, traveling, and cooking. Many people remember her beautiful table settings and elegant dinners.

She is survived by a sister Leahbeth (Claude) Muse, Paso Robles, CA; a brother John Robert (Marjorie) Seedall , Idaho Falls, ID.; 6 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 12 nephews and a niece. Besides her parents, husband and daughter she was preceded in death by a brother Gerald Lawrence Seedall and a sister Dorothy Deane Peterson.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Parker LDS Church with Bishop Brent Williams, Officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Friday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and again at the church Saturday from 1 to 1:45 just prior to the services. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery.
