Frank Potter

    Franklin Lewis Potter, passed away Oct. 14, 2015 at home at the age of 88.
He was born Dec. 4, 1926 to Lewis William Potter and Ivie Lavon Thompson Potter in St. Anthony, Idaho. He attended elementary schools in Newdale and Wilford and graduated from Sugar Salem High School where he excelled in sports.
He  joined the army in 1945 and served as a military policeman in Germany, France, and Hungary. After serving 18 months he returned home and attended Ricks College, majoring in agriculture.
On June, 3 1955 He married Wanda Clio Voss on the family farm in Wilford. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. He spent his life farming, and raising cattle, which he loved. He was remembered by many as a great baseball player, and was scouted to be a pro player, but chose to stay on the farm.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and siblings Wayne (Boyd) Howes, Weston (Arva) Potter, Marilyn (Don) Hammond, and Gary (Trudy) Potter, and children Jalene (Bryan) Fullmer, and Lane Potter.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years and children: Teresa (Steven) Garrett, Vicki (Paul) Skinner, Shane (Debie) Potter, and Janalyn Potter. 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Oct. 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Wilford Church with a viewing Sunday evening at Wilford Church from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM and 10:00 AM Monday before services.  Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery where military rites will be preformed.
