  Gerald LeRoy Clark 88, passed away, March 20, 2014 at his home in St. Anthony following a lingering illness.

He was born Feb. 28, 1926 at Blackfoot, Idaho the son of LeRoy Beebe Clark and Rosamond Barnard Clark.

He was very young when his family moved to St. Anthony where he has since resided. He attended schools in St. Anthony and after his high school graduation he joined the U.S. Army, serving from l943 to l945 in the coast artillery and as a MP. After his honorable discharge he worked for Wadsworth Lumber and earned his No. 1 Millwright.

Gerald was married to Amy Ann Roberts on April 12, 1948 at St. Anthony, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in St. Anthony. Gerald studied in electronics and earned a diploma in electronics, He also took several courses in radio and tv. In l962 he started working as a custodian for Fremont Co. School District 215 at the Central School. He was appointed maintenance supervisor for the district in l971 and held that position until his retirement in l992. During the time he worked for the school district he earned his electrician’s license under Sid Chase. He also earned his amateur radio license, which was of great help in locating missing persons after the Teton Dam Flood in l976. Amy passed away Nov. 27, 2002.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served in many callings, including scoutmaster, in which he used his skills as an outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman. He also enjoyed snowmobiling. He was a very good carpenter, plumber, mechanic, and was known for his abilities as a repairman in many areas.

He is survived by his children: Lee (Kathy) Clark, St. Anthony, ID.; Evelyn Smith, Teton, ID. .; Debra Jo Clark, Idaho Falls, ID.; Kathy Roberts, Midwest City, OK.; Angela (Lynn) Gifford, St. Anthony, ID.; 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a brother Junior Clark, a half-brother Art Roseborough and two sisters, Evelyn Jenkins and Icel Mason.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the in the St. Anthony fourth LDS ward Chapel with Bp. Kyle D. Moore, Officiating. Friends may call at the Church Friday one hour prior to the Services. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Riverview Cemetery where military rites will be performed.
