Harold Lee Wilcox

   Harold Lee Wilcox of St.Anthony, Idaho - Surrounded by members of his loving family, peacefully passed away on May 3, 2012 from a lingering illness while at the Ashton Living Center where he had resided since 2010.
Born to Anna (Brown) and Emmerson Hill Wilcox, in St. Anthony, Idaho on July 17,1935. He was the second oldest of 7 children and twin 1/2 brothers, all whom he loved dearly.
Harold worked a variety of physically demanding jobs from youth thru his adult life to include: farm hand, timber, mining, and the Starch Plant in St.Anthony. He spent the majority of his working career at the Idaho Stud Mill, when it closed down he relocated to Hurricane Utah for several years working until retirement age at a trailer manufacturing Co. After which he returned home to St.Anthony,working part time for the City, and then the Fremont County Landfill. He enjoyed working and was meticulous with everything he did.
Harold loved to be outdoors no matter what the weather was doing, and he always had time to visit with the neighbors. He took care of every stray cat that passed through his yard. He delighted in feeding them even if they belonged somewhere else. His own cat Shadow was like one of his children, she filled many voids for him during his last couple of years, he truly loved her. He enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends, and was like a kid if there was a barbque or a family gathering, he always had stories to tell and his laugh was infectious.
On August 25, 1954 he married his 1st love, Cecelia Spillman Wilcox. During their 34 years of marriage they raised 6 children. In 1988 Cecelia passed away after a long hard fought battle with cancer.
He married his 2nd wife, Evelyn (Ball) Winegar in 1990. They lived in Utah and St. Anthony until health issues caused her to move to Pocatello Idaho with her daughters.
Harold was preceded in death by 1st wife Cecelia; his parents and his older sister Lois Briggs; son Jerrold; and a grandson, Jason.
He is survived by his 2nd wife Evelyn; siblings John, Thomas, Roy, Allene and Coleen, and 1/2 brothers Leo and Leland; his children Katherine (Quintin Bush); Russell (Bonnie); Deborah (Stuart Armstrong); Charlene (Todd Rumsey) William (Billy); 15 grandchildren, 22 Great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harold requested there be no public service, so a private family graveside will be held at the Parker Cemetery.
On June 23, 2012 from 4-6 pm there will be a "Celebration of his Life" for family and friends at his granddaughter Katie Dodge's home! 2606 East 700 North, St. Anthony Idaho -(out the Sand Creek Road / Fun Farm Road) There will be markers on highway and in town.
