   Hazel Irene Wiser Powell 95, a lifelong resident of The St. Anthony area died Dec. 30, 2011 at her home from incidents to age.

Hazel was born July 5, 1916 at St. Anthony, Idaho the daughter of Thomas and Naomi Reynolds Wiser. She grew up in St. Anthony where she attended her schooling.

She married L. Warren Powell on Sept. 14, 1935 at Rexburg. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on March 13, 1965. They have lived their entire married life in St. Anthony except for a few years during WWII when they lived in Las Vegas, NV.; Warren died Oct. 16, 1997.

Hazel worked in the Local Potatoe Warehouses for many years. In later years she enjoyed traveling with her husband. She also enjoyed reading, Camping and Fishing with family.

She is survived by one son Donald (Elva) Powell, St. Anthony, four daughters Patricia (Jack) Owens, East Wentachee, WA, Naomi Evans, Meridian, ID.; Virginia Lafinier, Reno, NV.; Gayle (Dean) Siddoway, Moore, ID. Siblings - Ruby Eveland, Oskaloosa, Iowa and Ruth Humble, Chubbuck, ID.; 22. Grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and a Grandson Dennis Powell and a great granddaughtyer Cory.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 at 11:00 in the St. Anthony 4th LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Kyle Moore, Officiating. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Bidwell Funeral Home and at the Church Thursday one hour prior to the time of services. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery under the direction of the Bidwell Funeral Home.
