   James M Whitmore 67, passed away April 24, 2012 in the emergency room of the Madison Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness with cancer.

Jim was born Sept. 16, 1944 at Rexburg, ID. the son of Dora and Calvin Whitmore. He grew up in the St. Anthony area where he attended his schooling. At the age of 17 he joined the U.S. Navy where he served for two years.

He married Judy Rae Faler on Nov. 16, 1973. The marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on Apr. 24, 1976. They lived a short time in Nampa, ID. but resided most of their married live in St. Anthony. Judy passed away on Oct. 24, 2003.

Jim worked at at various jobs including logging, Union Pacific Rail Road, and custodial work. He was active in the community serving on the Fremont Search and Rescue for many years.

He is survived by two children Toni Lynn (Spencer) Jones, Gaygla, Minnesota
and Jeremy Jon (Carolyn) Whitmore Parker, Colorado. His father Calvin Whitmore, St. Anthony, Siblings Carol (Jim) Nielson Las Vegas, NV.. Betty Stevens, Ray (Jeannie) Whitmore, Jeff (Stacie) Whitmore all of St. Anthony. 9 Grandchildren

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Anthony third LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Delray Davenport , officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the church Saturday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery where military rites will be performed.
