  Jimmie Ren Park 85, a longtime resident of Driggs passed away June 13, 2012 at his home.

Jimmie was born Aug. 4, 1926 at West Yellowstone, MT. the son of Peter Leroy Park and Mary Hill Park Rasmussen. He grew up in the Sugar City and Rexburg areas where he attended his schooling.

Jimmie joined the U.S. Navy during WW11 and was honorably discharged.
While on leave from the navy he married Katherine Ellen Ricks on Nov. 11, 1946 at Rexburg, ID. They have lived in Driggs for many years. Kathy passed away last month on May 3, 2012.

He worked for the Teton Valley School District 401 driving school bus and was bus supervisor for many years keeping all the busses mechanically running. He also served on the Driggs Volunteer Fire department for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, softball, and bowling.

He is survived by eight children; Connie Letham, Kenneth L. Park, Terri (Michael) Furniss, all of Driggs, ID.; Jimmie V. (Lynn) Park, Dilworth, MN., Kelly C. (Rebecca) Park, Jack L. Park, both of Driggs, ID.: Tony O. (Amanda) Park, Noblesville, IN.; 20 Grandchildren and 29 Great Grandchildren. Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Jerry Park Gill, Margaret Park Borroman, Grace Park Dissault, Jack Park.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Driggs LDS Stake Center with Bishop Max Woolstenhulme, officiating. Friends may call at the Stake Center Monday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. and again Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Driggs Cemetery where military rites will be preformed.
