   Karl Fred Klingler 87, born 2 July 1927 in Plano, Idaho died on Sept. 24, 2014 at the Great Oaks Assisted Living Center in Rigby. He is the 9th chid of 10 children born to Gottfried and Mable Lee Klingler. He attended school in Plano and when he was 13 years of age, his father passed away. He enlisted in the Navy in Nov. of 1944 and did his training in Farragut Idaho and was later transferred to the base in Hawthorne, NV. While in the service he worked mainly in the kitchen and was a baker. He was honorably discharged in l946.

He married Wilma Dexter at the Dexter home in Egin Bench on August 30, 1948. to this union was born 4 children; Dexter Dwain, Kevin Karl, Jan, and Billy Joe. At the time of their marriage, he was working for Uncle Etsil Fisher, and over the years has worked for Rigby Coal, Feed, and Seed, Burgraff Construction, Blackline Asphalt, Louis Grover, Rocky Mountain Supply and H & K Construction.

As a young boy he has lived in Hibbard, Idaho. Swan Valley, and Plano and after he was married has lived in Hibbard, Rigby, and Idaho Falls. His Favorite Things to do was hunt, fish, camp, and work hard.

Wilma passed away in Nov. 1986 and he later married Gaye M. Mortensen in Sept. l988.

He is survived by his four children: Dexter Dwaine (Charlene) of Idaho Falls, Kevin Karl of Idaho Falls, Jan(David) Grover, Rigby and Billy Joe (Carolyn) Clearfield, UT. He has 16 grandchildren 23 Great Grandchildren. His wife Gaye of Rigby, 5 stepchildren and 7 step grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, 2 grandchildren, his parents 1 sister and 8 brothers.

A graveside service will be held at the Plano Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014.
