   Larry Russell 69, longtime resident and business man of Teton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011 at his home in Teton surrounded by his family.

Mr. Russell was born July 10, 1942 at Idaho Falls, Idaho He was the first of eight children, born to Floyd “Pete” Russell and Myrle Winder Russell. He grew up in Osgood area, on West River Road. He attended Osgood Elementary School, O E Bell Jr. High and Idaho Falls High School.

He was married to June Colvin. Together they had three boys. They were later divorced.

He married Marla E. Ottesen on Dec. 31, 1966 in Idaho Falls, adding instantly to their family four girls and one boy. Later together they had one more girl, completing their family of nine. They lived in Iona for a short time moving to Teton In 1968 where they have since resided. Larry worked as a body and fender man for Roy J. Keller and Taylor Chevrolet for several years. He then opened his own business and did body and fender out of his home in Teton. In l976 he and his wife bought and operated Russell’s Junction Service in Teton for 34 years retiring in April of 2010.

Larry was a lifetime member of the National Fishing Club, an avid bowler on several Rexburg Leagues and President of the Teton Bass Pond.

He is survived by his wife Marla of Teton, ID.; Children - Sherri (Dwight) Rowe, Teton, ID.; Bryan Russell, Anchorage, Alaska,; Ron (Sandy) Russell, Teton, ID.; William “Bill” (Carol) Russell, Ririe, ID.; Peggy (David) Smith, Wilford, ID.; Anna (Jeff) Struhs, Rigby, ID.; Zebrin Russell (Craig Moody), Teton, ID.; 20 Grandchildren 21 Great Grandchildren. Siblings - Anne (Lynn) Rose, Idaho Falls, ID>; Wes (Lenae) Russell, Glenn (Ginny) Russell and Vonda (George) Hay all of Shelley, Idaho, Floyd Russell Boise, ID.; and Eric Russell, Ammon, ID.; Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Charlene Russell, a son Blaine Deloy Russell two daughters Lauri Ann Russell and Cindi Lee Russell and a grandson Austin Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Teton LDS Church with Bishop Craig Carter, Officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home in St. Anthony Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and at the Church Thursday from 10:00 until 10:45 just prior to the services. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
