Loretta J. Forbush

   Loretta June Forbush, 81, passed away Wednesday, Feb 11, 2015 at the Homestead Assisted Living Center in St Anthony.

Loretta was born Aug. 26, 1933 in Ririe, ID. the daughter of Arthur William Kerswell and Almira Gladys McNeil Kerswell. She grew up in the Lorenzo area and was the 4th of 10 children.

Loretta married Bill Forbush on Feb. 16, 1949 in Idaho Falls, The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Parker, ID. where they raised their family. Bill passed away in Feb. of 2009.

Loretta was a stay at home mom and enjoyed being a mother. She was a hard worker and dedicated to building a good home and being a good wife and mother. She began work outside the home after her children were all in school. She cooked at the Parker school, helping her sister Karen. She only intended to work a few years to “Help out with Christmas” but ended up working for twenty.

Loretta was ab active member if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings. She enjoyed doing geneology, quilting, sewing, cooking and reading. She loved books and over time, collected many!

She is survived by her children - Connie (Paul) Raymond, Nampa, ID.; Bruce (Holly( Forbush, Sugar City, ID.; Dennis (Teri) Forbush, Parker, ID.; Wayne (Trina) Forbush, Parker, ID.; Brian (Kitty) Forbush, Rigby, ID.; Brenda (Steve) Weber, Bountiful, UT.; Craig (Lauri) Forbush, Parker, ID.; Brothers - Robert (Betty) Shaw; Jack (Sharon) Kerswell; Terry (Mona) Kerswell; Sisters - Karen (Darwin) Hansen; Julia (Vaune) Powell; Sandra (Russell) Bott; 30 Grandchildren 59 Great Grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters, one grandson and one great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 at ll:00 a.m. in the Parker LDS Church with Bp. Chris Stephens, officiating. Friends may call at the Parker Church Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and again Saturday from 10 to 10:45 just prior to the services. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery under the direction of the Bidwell Funeral Home.
