   Lynn Owen Hathaway 69, a longtime resident of St. Anthony passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 in the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls following a illness with cancer.

Lynn was born Aug. 23, 1941 in Oakland, Calif. the son of Shirley Joseph and Virginia Beth Seeley Hathaway. He grew up in the St. Anthony area where he attended s school graduating from South Fremont High. He also attended Ricks College and received his bachelors degree from the Utah State University. He served in the Idaho National Guard and was honorably discharged just prior to Vietnam.

He married Patty Lyne Hansen on May 19, 1961 in Wilford, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived a short time in Page, Arizona where he helped build the Glenn Canyon Dam. Then moved back to St. Anthony where they have continued to live.

Lynn worked on the road crew for the Idaho State Highway Dept. After receiving his degree Lynn taught school in the Sugar-Salem School District for 36 years. He also did lumber deliveries for the Willmore Lumber Co after his retirement. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Patty Lyne of St. Anthony, Children - Teisha (Kent) Daniels, Drex (Brandie) Hathaway, Kam (Troy) Willmore, all of St. Anthony and Taff (Lani) Hathaway, Tooele, Utah. Siblings - Darres (Linda) Hathaway, West Valley, UT.; Dean (Bonnie) Hathaway, St. Anthony and VaL (Rayla) Hathaway, Chester, ID.; 15 Grandchildren. His mother Beth of St. Anthony,ID. He was preceded in death by his father Shirley and one sister Marla Mower.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Anthony third LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Del Ray Davenport, Officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Monday evening Feb. 28, 2011 from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. and at the Church Tuesday one hour prior to the Services. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery where military rites will be performed.
