Marva Parkinson Kidd

   Marva Parkinson Kidd, 86, our wonderful Mother, and Grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on Mar. 27, 2014 in Boise, ID.

Mom was born July 4, 1927 in Egin, ID.; the daughter of Joseph Earl and Ollie LaVern Parkinson the 3rd of 8 children.

She was raised in Egin, ID> and attended school in the Edmunds Grade School and graduated from Edmunds High School in l945. She continued her education by attending the LDS Nurses program.

In June of l943 she met the love of her life while on a blind date. After the war she married Mahlon Lee Kidd on Dec. 22, 1945 at Marysville, ID.; The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on Aug. 31, 1951. They had six children, Marva Elinda (Barry) Mitchell, Meridian, ID.; Dora Lee Kidd, Las Vegas NV, Don (Beverly) Kidd, Hurricane, UT.; Myrl (Louise) Kidd, Pearce AZ; Henry (Laura) Kidd, Clinton, UT. and Myrna Ilene (Ken) McKnight, Florence OR.

They lived in the Ashton area then moved to Ammon, ID. and then to a farm in Goshen, ID.; From there they moved to Idaho Falls and after retiring they moved to a cabin in Island Park, ID. that they built. Besides farming and raising 6 children she worked for Selective Service for many years. She was an active member of the LDS Church. After retiring from work Mom enjoyed traveling the country with Dad. They always liked spending time with the family and their many Grandchildren. Mom never lost her sense of humor and was always happy and cheerful to see family and visitors. Her passing has left a large void in our hearts, but on the bright side she is wither her true love and I’m sure with open arms when we all to meet her. Mr. Kidd passed away Aug, 6, 2010.

She is survived by a brother Dale (Zona) Parkinson, Sugar City, ID.; a sister Nola (Darrel) Ames, Layton, UT.; sister=in-law Alice Parkinson, Sugar City, ID>; her children, 28 Grandchildren and many, many Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Apr. 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.. at the Marysville LDS Church with Bp. Gary Marsden, Officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home in St. Anthony Thursday from 7 to 8:30 and at the Marysville church Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 just prior to the services. Interment will be in the Ashton Pineview Cemetery.
