Richard Miller Nagle

   Richard Miller Nagle 82, passed away at his home, Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014.

Rich was born in Parker, Idaho on Oct. 6, 1932 the son of Harold Edgar and Vernessa Irene Miller Nagle. He attended school in Parker Elementary and graduated from South Fremont High School where he lettered in sports.

On Dec. 8, 1951 he married Jacqueline McArthur in Idaho Falls. Rich and Jacque lived in St. Anthony for two years then moved to Parker where they have made their home for 61 years. To this union were born four children, Danford D., Riki Nadine, Micheal Kip and Suzette.

Rich grew up in a farming family and continued farming in the Parker and Sand Creek areas. Along with farming he owned and operated Nagle Trucking. Rich was a believer in hard work and instilled his work ethics in his children. His son Dan joined him in the trucking business. Rich’s trucking business took him to most of the 50 states.

Some of Rich’s most memorable vacations included a trip to Chile with friends, Belize and with his daughter and grandson and a fishing trip to Alaska with his daughter, grandson and great grandson where he was the first on the boat to catch both salmon and halibut.

He was active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a loyal family man and was revered by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be sorely missed.

Richard is survived by his wife Jacque and daughters , Riki (David) Ker, Idaho Falls, ; Suzette of St. Anthony along with 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Included with his biological grandchildren are several honorary grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he and Jacque consider their own. He was preceded in death by his Parents, a brother Junior and Burton a sister Nadine and two sons Danford D. and Micheal Kip.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Parker LDS Church with Bishop Christopher Stephens, Officiating. Family will also meet with friends at the Parker Church Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bidwell Funeral Home.
